Wimblu presents a selection of short documentaries under the theme ' Landscape Memories'.
A new edition of the Costa Rica International Film Festival will take place from June 20 to 29 in San José, Costa Rica. This event, produced by the Film Center of the Ministry of Culture and Youth, will present 76 films of different genres to the public in general. On this occasion Wimblu participates as guest curator of the E, with two screenings in which 8 short documentaries will be presented followed by a discussion on each day.
The showcase curated by Wimblu, entitled Landscape Memories, is a selection of creative documentary that explores the ways in which landscape and memory shape each other. In this selection of observational and experimental cinema, landscape becomes the protagonist of memory to navigate the complex intersections between time, matter and our perception. These short documentaries aim to open conversations about memory and landscape as living processes that constantly transform our sense of identity and belonging.
The screenings will take place on June 26 and 27, 5pm at the Teatro Eugene O’Neill at the Costa Rican-North American Cultural Center. Each session is inspired by Wimblu's signature approach: creative nonfiction that explores the intersections of ecology, spirituality and culture.
